Well, the class is on intensive vegetable gardening, and I'm looking at modern movements, so thus far the "classics" are John Jeavons' How to Grow More Vegetables... (bible of the Biointensive method) and Mel Bartholomew's Square Foot Gardening. Both of which I've been "quoting" for years without actually having sat down and read them.
