There's a wonderful part at the end of The Letter of Marque in which Stephen, drugged on laudanum, falls down a staircase and breaks his leg and has dreams about balloons, and it's utterly surreal and marvelous and probably my favorite bit of POB writing ever. So that's what I was thinking about, but Sergyar would be fantastic.
