hedda62: Harold Finch on ecstasy, dancing (drugged finch)

know anything about chemistry?

First of all: oh, thank goodness. I really enjoyed Person of Interest last night; that is the show I've been looking for. WELCOME BACK, BABY. Oh, Shaw who has a heart hidden in there somewhere. And OMG Carter you badass.

In other TV news, my usual Tuesday afternoon exhaustion yesterday (I work really hard in a garden all morning, this time complicated by my hanging-on cold and chilly rain) led to sampling the first two eps of Sleepy Hollow, which I'd heard good things about. I like it, though I'm not sure I'll keep watching. It's one of those shows where you have to suspend disbelief hard, hard enough to... concentrate your mind wonderfully, and in this case I'm having difficulty. (And there are many other shows out there, and time is at a premium, etc.) I do love Abbie, though, and Crane is very restful on the eyes and ears. We'll see. Just... Horsemen of the Apocalypse, really?

The Good Wife is fantastic this season. I am fingernails-in-palms till next episode. Figuratively, or else I'd have trouble typing this. And boy, no horsemen at all, just law firm drama.

Have not watched White Collar premiere yet, nor any Castle; still slowly working through Breaking Bad.

We are traveling a lot this fall: Allentown this weekend, Houston two weeks later, Allentown and Massachusetts Thanksgiving week. Somehow in the middle of all that (and starting to prep next year's MG events already) I am still determined to bring out a book. Possibly not in time for maximizing Christmas sales, but I'm not sure it matters all that much. I'll do it when I can do it; there are significant dates it would be fun to aim for, but November 22 I'll be on the road and December 16 is... well, not too late really. Again, we'll see. (I think the next one coming out on April 30 would be amusing. It makes my already-filling-up calendar insane, but whatever. *makes note to get flu shot*) Meanwhile, I am sorting through teacup photos and hoping to launch a website... next week?

LET'S SEE WHAT HAPPENS, THANK YOU GREGOR.

PoI was so much better this week. Still not up to their standards from last season, but compared to the last few weeks a definite uptick in quality. And I think it's sadly telling that their "special women's episode" was as awful as it was and this one, while "ordinary", was all about Shaw and Carter and the female number being kickass and the ep was way better.

Isn't The Good Wife amazing! Ruat caelum is all I can say at this point. I did not know legal drama could be this nailbiting.

I've heard of Sleepy Hollow, mostly on the theme of Crane being easy on the eye, but I think really my television card is pretty full up right now.

And oh dear, flu jabs. I had mine today and am anticipating feeling rotten tomorrow, but it's all in a good cause.

I like Sleepy Hollow a great deal, but mostly in a "dear godlings, did they actually just say George Washington ordered the Boston Tea Party?!? and wow, I could happily watch Tom Mison (Ichabod) read the phone book" sort of way.

Think of it as alternate universe. I keep getting the giggles thinking of poor Washington Irving spinning in his grave. Or maybe not. This was, after all, the man who originally came up with the Headless Horseman.

ROFL Somehow I managed to expend all my indignation on the Tea Party, so much so that I just laughed at the Roanoke folks.

I'll be glad when the World Series is over (whoever thought it was a good idea to have baseball season run till almost November needs to have his head examined) and we get back to new episodes.

Not a perfect episode by any means, but a damn good one. I am so relieved.

Haven't seen the latest Good Wife, but I'm absolutely agreed on this season. They're really moving things, aren't they?

So excited to read your book! Good luck with pulling it together.

Wow so many comments over here and none over yonder. O_o

I watched the first four eps of Sleepy Hollow and pretty much had the same reaction you had. The two main characters are awesome and their banter is great and Abbie is one of the best female characters on TV right now, but the plot? Really? George Washington's bible wtf? The tea party thing annoyed me, too.

I stopped watching it because the plots were just too ludicrous and not worth sitting through for the banter. Sadly.

I still have the Good Wife on my todo list, if I ever get around to watching everything else on my list. ;D

I am almost caught up with White Collar now, and must say I still like it a lot. I'm looking forward to this season, although I will probably be too slow to really catch up with fandom (again).
