Oh, oh, perfection all around, from Cordelia's 'Barrayarans!'-laced breakdown to Aral/Vorhalas to Alys and Simon crying all over each other and laughing at the same time and Simon's constant security-meter running in the background, and all of it. It also unpacks some of the 'but why are they doing all this?' from the fic very nicely, Aral's guilt and overreaction to it - Alys is, as ever, very shrewd about these things :-). Wonderful!
