I'm not going to say I don't get unreasonably distracted by research on occasion (there are so many interesting things out there!) but at some point I must have absorbed that there's a distinction between sufficient and perfect, and I'm trying to go with that.
But along the same lines - I never have perfect first drafts (or perfect final drafts, for that matter) but I can't let something really awful sit there niggling at me; it has to be FIXED NOW.
