Yeah, I thought Harold got off way too easy. And, you know, now that you mention it, his reunion with Grace did have a dreamy vibe. Maybe wish-fulfillment on his or the Machine's part, who knows.
I knew someone was gonna die, and I'm with you -- Harold can continue without John, but John wouldn't last without Harold. (Though I still don't buy a "happily ever after" for Harold.)
I like Shaw continuing on with the machine-as-Root-sorta, but I hate that Root died and I never got to see a relationship play out between Shaw and Root.
