hedda62: my cat asleep (laura hobson)
Working on the new prompt, by which I mean words are pouring out of my fingers that I didn't really think were in my brain, and oh dear God I thought it would be funny, because the prompt looked like it should produce humor, but it's Simon and Aral and dark and creepy and slightly kinky and all full of my current fic preoccupations and oh help.

[personal profile] raven, I hope you won't mind, but... no, you probably won't. Consent issues. Ha. I will probably be taking [personal profile] philomytha up on the Gregor/Miles d/s thing next. Not really. I don't think.

I'm a trifle hungover this Labor Day Monday, due to a neighbor's birthday party last night; I had probably two wee drinks too many, but the news is: I can drink alcohol again, in great moderation, as the migraines have mysteriously abated, although replaced by a list of other disturbing symptoms which I need to go to the doctor about soon. But yay, booze.

Schiacciata for breakfast, hurray. I should bake more often.

Also, it looks like I am finally joining the world of smartphones, since my crappy AT&T stupid-phone is irredeemably broken, and it seems like time to swallow the family data plan fees (likely switching to Sprint), especially since Younger Son is complaining that everyone in college but him is so equipped. Any recommendations for features I should look for?

*evil grin*

I look forward to it! And you're clearly already halfway there with the Gregor/Miles d/s thing anyway... ;-)

I really, really don't mind. :) Clearly, guys, we need a kind of Simon/Aral consent issues weekend retreat, or something.

Phones: you can get iPhone with Sprint now. We love ours. But then we are Mac users for everything. I just find the layout of icons very easy to use, and other phones tend to have menus I find terrible confusing. I can't imagine Ben using any other phone. He loves his new 4S, although he forgets to ask Siri to do things. I have a 4, and it works great for me, I'm more tech savvy. I love the speed, and iCloud does a good job of keeping calendars, notes, reminders, contacts, etc. updated on both MacBook and phone.
