Yesterday should have been a joyous day, but I was rather too overcome by physical stuff to celebrate. I had a migraine all night into the morning (one of those that disguises itself as some other headache, so I'm reluctant to take Imitrex, which doesn't work well when I'm lying down anyway; I finally did take it in the morning and got rid of the thing). My knee hurt so much I could barely walk: the result of 2 1/2 hours in the community garden Tuesday. (Better today after some rest, but I can't hurt it today or I won't be able to drive six hours tomorrow.) And I slept about four hours Tuesday night, which has unfortunately been typical of late (and it's my metabolism; I can't even really blame the cat or the roosters at the B&B, although they did keep me awake once I woke on my own). I was dragging around all day with that sense that every molecule in my body was yearning for either sleep or tons of caffeine, yet I couldn't actually GO to sleep even though I had the leisure to do so. (Did get some sleep last night so I'm better now.)

Then I had the realization that somehow we had never actually ordered CVA; it was still sitting in the Save For Later part of the Amazon cart, though I don't know why. Luckily they had it at the library, and I read it again with much enjoyment. Noting all the things that conflict with my fanfic, naturally (we do have a better Illyan timeline now, and it is not mine), but who really cares. More canon is a good thing. Charming understatement.

Also, more PoI canon tonight! Yay!

I understand your caution with Imitrex. I once took it for what I thought was a migraine, and it made the "Neener, Neener, I can make you think I'm a migraine" headache much worse than it already was. I know Imitrex works for a lot of people, but personally I'm lucky that my headaches aren't bad enough to make it worth the risk except for once or twice a year.

Ah - well, luckily it doesn't do that to me if I misjudge a headache, just makes me dizzy to no purpose. It's been a lifesaver otherwise. But still, each pill costs well over a dollar (which is better than the non-generic med I was taking before, where for a while they cost about $20 each) and one dose can knock me down for hours, headache-free but whirly-headed and fatigued... so yeah, caution is warranted.
