hedda62: Harold Finch, half in shadow, text: Oh, Mr. Finch (finch)
Three things about PoI:

1) Shaw wins the episode. I am going to be laughing over "your poorly-socialized guard dog, and Bear here" for the next 24 hours. And, her new mission, OMG YES.

2) Another interpreting-Caviezel's-face moment, in reaction to the denigration of patriotism: hey buddy, some of us still have feelings that way, though my country did screw the hell out of me, but I'm not screwing it back, right? Or I'm spooling it out too much, no doubt. Also, I am vastly relieved that Harold showed no apparent guilt through all the China discussion, although he is really hard to read, granted.

3) Harold's (purely intellectual, I am sure) crush on Monica was adorable. And I could watch Michael Emerson babble tech-speak for months, happy.

There was a hell of a lot of plot there, and I was tired, but at some point I will watch it again and pick up more. And oh, Carter.

Also, it is really weird to watch Lost and PoI in the same day. And I'm sorry for dismissing Lost so cavalierly - I'm in season 4 now, and the faults are all the same as before, but the mysteries are getting more intriguing, and there is great joy in my heart watching the man in the shirts. (Stripes, stripes, stripes, and then plaid in the flashbacks, and then pale green for several episodes, which I suspect was just because it showed the blood so well, golly he does get the shit kicked out of him over and over.)
