It is indeed. Though I'm also pleased that it is not the name we finally settled on for Cub - it was a contender for a while, but I predict a glut of Georges in the next year now.

I bet there will be! I suppose in retrospect it was one of the reasons I named Mr. Merrill that, because it was a very popular name for boy babies in the mid-18th century, so it made his masquerade more plausible. But really it was mostly "dammit, I'm not letting George W. Bush ruin this name" plus the feeling that fictional Georges are usually rather boring, a trend which should be countered.
