1) My computer will not currently connect to Google. This has been happening for several days. Luckily gmail is not affected. I'm hoping the Windows update will fix it, although currently the Windows update won't install. I hate computers and I wish I could do this all with my BRAIN.

2) Speaking of which, Lanna Michaels' Simon/chip fic (I May Be Paranoid But) No Android is hysterically perfect (and oddly titillating). The CVA "spoilers" are for an offhand comment not very relevant to the main plot, so don't be afraid.
3) Yes. I may go ahead and post the beginning of Time for Tea on AO3. One chapter? Three chapters? Will it counteract inertia at all?
4) I also have an idea for a Vorkosiverse multi-character 30th-birthday fic after yesterday's discussion. Send help. On the other hand, don't; I like being lost and gone and hopeless.
5) This (via Language Log, of course) is a lovely Gilbert-and-Sullivany musical rant against prescriptivism. A subtle and sympathetic rant, that is. "I’m not a grammar Nazi; I’m just a linguistic Aryan/I am the very model of an amateur grammarian." Yes indeedy.
6) It is a beautiful day. Feels like fall. I think I'll take a little walk.
