wendylove also wanted to know if writing and gardening had anything in common, and… this is a question I wish to return to on many later occasions, because I think they have a lot in common, but for now (because I have a lot to do today and because it's quite enough to read on its own) I will point you to my reposted essay on Integrated Pest Management Editing.
